![]() As you all know, we are currently doing a unit on Arthur Miller's play "The Crucible." In addition to reading it and watching it in class, the students and I have decided to put on our own production of the play! What's more, the principal has given us permission to perform the play in front of the entire school in the afternoon of Thursday, October 24th at 1:00 PM. We are already practicing and preparing for the play (with the help of our amazing drama department! Many thanks!). The students took such a liking to this play that they wanted to act it out themselves. Parents, your help would be greatly appreciated on the day of the play. I am sending out a letter that your child should be brining home giving you more information and asking who wants to volunteer. This letter will also be posted in the "Note to Parent/Guardian" section of this website. We are all so enthused about this endeavor and we hope you get involved, too!

September 11th is coming up. As a class, we have been talking about the effects it has had on our nation and how it affected the people who were directly involved in it. As we discussed all of this, one of the students suggested that we write letters to the soldiers who are currently serving overseas as a result of the tragedy that happened this day. So, we are going to be writing letters to soldiers telling them how much we appreciate them. I encourage you to help your student write these letters and stress to them the importance of what they are doing for our country.
